Become a certified SSI Divemaster in Crete and take your first step into the professional scuba diving world
The SSI Divemaster Internship at Scubakreta takes place from May to October each summer in Stalis, Crete, Greece, within a real, fully operational dive center following internationally recognized Scuba Schools International (SSI) standards and ISO 24801-3.

This internship is designed for passionate divers who want to turn recreational diving into a professional path, gaining real-world experience while training safely under the direct supervision of our instructors.

Why Become a Divemaster
Divemasters are the professional guides of the underwater world

They:

Introduce certified divers to new dive sites

Supervise and guide certified divers

Conduct dive briefings, technique refreshers, and safety procedures

Assist instructors during training programs and SSI courses

Take leadership roles in various programs, including refreshers, snorkeling, and selected specialty activities

Prerequisites to register for the internship

Open Water Diver certification
-
Be 18 years old
-
Commitment to stay for at least 4 months
​

How to Become a Certified SSI Divemaster
​
To obtain the SSI Divemaster qualification, you must:

Complete all required knowledge development

Pass the SSI Divemaster Final Exam

Successfully complete all evaluations of diving techniques, workshops, and practical assessments
