
TERMS OF SERVICE
Terms of Service – Scubakreta Diving Center
Effective Date: 1st of April 2025
1. Booking a Dive Program with Scubakreta
A customer may contact Scubakreta via email, website form submission, or by phone to inquire about a diving program. Once a date and time are agreed upon, and the customer confirms participation, Scubakreta and the customer enter into a service agreement. Scubakreta agrees to provide the diving services described, and the customer agrees to compensate Scubakreta by paying the full cost of the service.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
Customer-Initiated Cancellation

Cancellations are accepted free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled program.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time will be charged in full.

Rescheduling is always possible, depending on availability.

In serious or exceptional circumstances, we may approve late cancellations. Please contact us directly to discuss the situation.
Non-Shows and Voluntary Discontinuation

If a participant voluntarily chooses to discontinue the program after it has started, no refund will be issued.

Exceptions may apply to participants who are found to have undisclosed medical conditions that prevent them from diving, and were unaware of such conditions. See more at: https://www.scubakreta.com/risks-associated-with-scuba-diving
Cancellations Due to Weather

If a program must be cancelled due to extreme or unsafe weather conditions, customers may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
3. Payment Terms

Payment can be made in cash, by credit/debit card, or via digital payments (Stripe or Viva Wallet).

A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. This will be communicated during the booking process.
4. Participation Requirements

All participants must complete a medical questionnaire and sign a liability waiver.

Minimum age for participation is 8 years old.

Parental or guardian consent is required for minors.

Participants must comply with all instructions provided by our certified instructors.

Scubakreta reserves the right to deny participation to any person deemed unfit to dive, either for safety or medical reasons.
5. Certification & Training

We offer certification through Scuba Schools International (SSI).

Certification is issued upon successful completion of all training requirements.

Participants must register with SSI and accept their digital training terms and privacy policy.
6. Limitation of Liability

Diving carries inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Scubakreta is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage unless due to proven gross negligence.

Participants are advised to obtain personal travel and/or diving insurance.
7. Changes to Bookings

Changes to a booking (e.g., number of people, date) must be communicated as early as possible.

We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.
8. Privacy

We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By booking or participating in a program, you consent to our data handling practices.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Heraklion, Crete.
