Open Water Diver Course
Dive autonomously up to 18m
With the certification "Open Water Diver" you will be able to:

Practice scuba diving by diving with a buddy of the same level (or higher) without being supervised by a professional Instructor.

To properly use SCUBA equipment, to control your buoyancy and to face potential problems that might occur underwater. All things needed in order to dive safely.
​

Participate in dives up to a maximum depth of 18 meters.
​

Your certification will be valid and recognized worldwide (ISO 24801-2)

STRUCTURE:
The SSI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases :

Knowledge development (online, independent study and some oral theory with your instructor) to understand the basics of scuba diving

Diving in a protected environment (confined water or pool) to learn basic diving techniques

Diving in the open water to use your diving techniques and explore!

We usually need between 3 to 4 days to complete the course, depending on your learning pace.
